Verdict Travel might not suit Father Tim, but the new setting breathes new life into Karon's stories. The novel is at its best when the Irish characters are on stage, especially those whose story is told through an old journal. Fans will want to continue the series; enough backstory is provided to make this accessible to new readers. --Library Journal
